A Contemporary Transformation at Pineto Place
Located in the charming city of Pleasanton California, the Pineto Place project was a complete transformation of a dated home into a contemporary masterpiece. The client, after carefully vetting multiple design firms, entrusted us with bringing their vision to life. From the moment we began our collaboration, the process flowed seamlessly, united by a shared commitment to elevating the home with a perfect balance of modern design and timeless elegance.
A Seamless Blend of Contemporary and Traditional Elements
Our approach to this project was rooted in preserving the home’s character while introducing custom craftsmanship that would elevate its aesthetic. The grand custom staircase, built meticulously on-site, became a statement piece, leading into a reimagined entryway that retained its original columns and paneling but with a modern twist. Every detail, from the wood-paneled ceilings to the carefully selected lighting, was thoughtfully integrated to create a harmonious transition from traditional to contemporary.
A Reimagined Kitchen and Breakfast Nook
The kitchen and adjoining breakfast nook were fully reconfigured to maximize space and functionality. By removing walls, we opened up the area, allowing for a more expansive and inviting layout. Custom-designed knotty pine cabinetry paired with elegant, polished stone backsplashes and a bespoke copper hood brought a sense of luxury and warmth to the kitchen. The continuity of materials and color palette throughout the open-concept kitchen and dining area created a space that was both sophisticated and welcoming.
Luxury Touches in the Family Room and Wine Cellar
In the family room, the focal point was a breathtaking natural limestone fireplace, which underwent extensive refinishing to achieve a flawless, polished finish. Custom wood beams and shelving complemented the room’s design, while carefully selected lighting added to the overall ambiance. The adjacent wine cellar, designed to hold up to 800 bottles, combined sleek modern glass with traditional wine storage elements, enhancing the home’s sense of refinement.
Outdoor Elegance and French-Inspired Design
The client’s vision for a French-inspired backyard was realized with the installation of two motorized louvered pergolas, offering flexible, year-round use. We carefully balanced neutral tones with vibrant accents, allowing the outdoor space to serve as a tranquil extension of the home’s interior. The garden, custom concrete floors, and bespoke seating areas were designed to create a sense of serenity and sophistication, perfectly capturing the essence of French elegance.
